My name is Kari and I just turned 40 at the end of December. I am a wife and mother of 2 amazing teenage boys. I have experienced many ups and downs throughout my life. I have been widowed, diagnosed with a rare brain disease (intracranial hypertension) and lost most of my vision (punctuate inner choroidopathy) all in the past 11 years. Many people wonder how I have dealt with everything. My only answer is my faith in God and the strength, hope and joy He has given me and gives me everyday.
This blog will be a melting pot of posts. I plan on sharing about living as a legally blind woman and all the changes that is bringing to my life and independence. I will be sharing about my journey to lose weight and become healthier. I will also be sharing about my faith. There will also be personal experiences and activities shared. I feel like I have things to say that may help someone going through a tough time. And writing is so therapeutic for me!
Again, thank you for joining me and reading my blog. I look forward to giving you a glimpse of what life looks like through my blurry eyes and my heart.
